Gas tax hike is still alive at the Capitol

Will you have to pay the state more at the pump soon? Missouri lawmakers are looking at a gas tax increase. Rep. Sara Walsh says it’s a close battle between people who say we need funding for roads and bridges, and those against it.

The gas tax bill has passed the state Senate, and is now in the House. If it becomes law, gas taxes go up two-and-a-half cents a gallon per year for five years.
