Columbia street protests won’t prompt charges against drivers

Prosecutors do not plan to file charges against two drivers who collided with protesters in Columbia last year. The prosecutor sent a letter to the police chief yesterday (tue) saying there wasn’t enough proof that either driver intentionally hit people last June in different incidents. The crowd had gathered in downtown Columbia to protest the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Prosecutors say no protesters will be charged, either.
