Former senator wants Hartzler’s Congressional seat

It took less than a full week for someone to announce a bid for Vicky Hartzler’s U-S House seat. Lamar Republican Ed Emery became the first candidate to enter that race this week. The former state lawmaker says he’s ready to represent a much wider portion of the state.

Emery said he would prioritize the federal budget and education reform if elected. Hartzler is running for the US Senate.
