Cole Commissioner faces a general election challenger

Cole County Presiding Commissioner Sam Bushman now has a challenger in the November general election. Carla Steck has filed as an independent in the race. Clerk Steve Korsmeyer says Steck raised 583 signatures to be included on the ballot. No Democrat is running in the race.
