Long term parking meters for part of JCMO

Jefferson City Councilmen approved Councilman Ron Fitzwater’s bill to extend parking hours from Capitol Ave to Madison and the 100 block of Madison and Jefferson for long term parking. The meters would be ten hours and would cost $1 an hour. A new app could be used.

The Jefferson City Council discussed the 2023 budget and its property tax rate.

Jefferson City’s proposed budget for next year is about $75 million.
