Capitol Avenue homes may finally face the wrecking ball

Jefferson City councilmen continue to discuss the future of some falling – down homes on Capitol Avenue. At last month’s meeting, the council okayed demolition or restoration funding for over a dozen of the worst properties. The city is waiting on a structural study to find out which buildings are too far gone to rehab. Some on the Council would rather see private developers redo the homes than tear them down.
