Death penalty off the table in Lake killing

The state will not ask for the death penalty for a Jefferson City man accused of a 2021 Memorial Day fatal shooting at a Lake area bar.

Chad Brewer will not face the death penalty if convicted.

Brewer is accused of shooting and killing Vonza Watson after a fight at Lazy Gators bar in Lake Ozark.
