Suspended Ashland PD chief sues the city

Ashland’s embattled Police Chief is now suing the city. Gabe Edwards was put on leave in July. His suit, filed this week, claims he was suspended because he criticized Ashland’s Mayor Dorise Slinker during her 2022 campaign. Edwards says he was removed from the position illegally.
