Ashland PD chief settlement made public

Ashland is paying former police chief Gabe Edwards $50,000 under the settlement between both sides in the case. More than $18,000 of the money includes back pay and vacation time.

Edwards stepped down as part of the settlement. He’d been accused him of misuse of department records, making racially charged comments and other issues while he was the chief.

Edwards then sued the city of Ashland.
