Cole County man faces weapons charges after firing shots

A man faces charges after allegedly shooting off a gun near some children. 49 year old Mark Turner is accused of threatening some kids who were cutting across his Scott Station home Sunday night to watch some fireworks. The three told deputies that Turner yelled at them to get off his property and then fired the gun into the ground. Investigators say he admitted to firing the shots.
