Search continues for California Mo police chief

Moniteau County deputies continue to patrol the streets of California Missouri as the Board of Aldermen hunts for a new police chief.

Chief Daniel Hurt resigned last month. City officials say they’re dealing with a staffing shortage for its police department.

City officials say two reserve officers are currently working for the department with deputies picking up the slack.
