Moberly Man Scams Food Bank Patrons

He’s accused of preying on people trying to get a meal at Boone County food banks. Kyle McClain is now out on bond. The Moberly native has his first hearing on four felony fraud counts next Monday. The state attorney general’s office says McClain convinced food bank patrons to buy insurance plans, so they could get a grant for dental work. Those grants did not require buying any insurance.
