JCMO fire — everyone is okay

Everyone is okay after an early morning Jefferson City fire. Fire crews were called out to the home in the 500 – block of Eastland shortly before 5-am. People in the home were awakened by smoke detectors and made it out safely. The fire apparently started in the basement. It took about 45 minute to put out. The cause is under investigation.
