JCMO fire victim escapes with minor injury

Only minor injuries for a Jefferson City fire victim. Crews were called to the apartment in the 200 – block of Cherry Street early Saturday. Five people were in the home but only one had to be treated. Investigators say careless cooking was the cause. Firefighters had the fire put out quickly.
