A smoky fire empties out several JCMO apartments

A kitchen fire forces people out of several Jefferson City apartments. It started yesterday (mon) evening on Southridge Drive near Highway 179 and Route C. Smoke came out of a basement level apartment. Smoke had to be removed from three other apartments in the building too. The Red Cross is helping the people that have to stay somewhere else right now.
