Back to her ‘lofty perch’ for Ceres

The Missouri Capitol’s controversial topper is being reinstalled this (tue) morning. Crews will lift the statue of Ceres (series) back on top of the dome of the Capitol building. The statue of the Roman goddess has been down for about a year for four hundred thousand dollars worth of renovations. One state rep asked for the statue to stay down, for religious reasons. Others complained about the price tag for the renovations.
