A deck fire burns a JCMO home

Embers from a grill apparently started a deck on fire, heavily damaging a Jefferson City home. Firefighters were called out around 12:30 this morning to a home in the 1000 Block of Las Brisas Court. They found heavy fire on the first floor and at the back of the home. 5 – people inside all got out safely. Damaged was estimated at $100,000.
