*** Update *** Cole deputies involved in standoff — ENDS

Cole County crisis response officers and the SWAT team were working a case with a suspect barricaded inside a home on Westport Drive in the Westview Heights area this (Wed) morning. The suspect is in custody and a gun was recovered. The suspect has been ordered to undergo a mental health exam.
