State government staffers get Black Friday off

Missouri’s governor has signed an executive order, closing most state offices on Black Friday. That means most state employees will have Thanksgiving and the following Friday off. Governor Mike Parson praises state employees, saying he and the First Lady are thankful for their hard work and dedication. More than 14-thousand state employees work in Jefferson City, making state government the town’s largest employer.
