Major brush fire burns hundreds of acres near Holts Summit

ABC – 17 — Officials say a wildfire in Callaway County is now fully contained after it burned over 500 acres.

“The fire started from a controlled burn but strong winds caused the owner to lose control of the fire.

The Holt Summit Fire Department and seven other agencies responded to the fire on the 8700 block of County Road 44 for the fire.
