Council will vote on potential new JCPD chief

Pending City Council approval, a Jefferson City Police Captain could be that agency’s next Chief of Police. The City Administrator has forwarded Captain Eric Wilde’s name to replace retiring Chief Roger Schroeder. The Council will meet Tuesday night to consider Wilde’s nomination. He’s been with the department for almost 25 – years.
