JCPD new chief okayed by Council

The Jefferson City Council approves a long – time police captain as the new Chief of Police. Eric Wilde received a unanimous vote for the Council last night. He replaces retiring Chief Roger Schroeder. Wilde is a 25 – year veteran of the department.

The Jefferson City Council held off on a 5 – percent  pay raise bill for city employees.
