Cats saved from JCMO fire

The Jefferson City Fire Department rescues some cats from a fire at an apartment complex Tuesday.

Firefighters were called out to the Heritage Apartments on Monroe around 3 pm. The fire started in a kitchen. No one was home and there weren’t any injuries.

The family is being assisted by the Red Cross.
