Sheriff’s DWI trial now set for 2024

The DWI trial for former Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism now won’t happen until next year.

Chism’s trial will now be held in January, 2024. His trial was originally pushed back to September.

Chism is accused of driving drunk while off duty and crashing his truck into a barrier at a Moberly fast food restaurant last October.
