Cole Prosecutor Locke Thompson asks for death penalty in bar killings

The Cole County Prosecutor will seek the death penalty for the Kansas City man accused of gunning two victims in a downtown Jefferson City bar last fall. Damien Davis faces first degree murder charges in the deaths of Skylar Smock and Corey Thames at J Pfenny’s Pub last November. Smock, a bar employee, was trying to break up a fight when Davis opened fire.
