Settlement reached in Sedalia wrongful death case

The family of a Sedalia woman shot and killed by a deputy during a 2020 traffic stop has settled their lawsuit with Pettis County. 25 year old Hannah Fizer died after the deputy felt threatened and shot her. The deputy claimed Fizer told him she was going to shoot him. She didn’t have gun. The amount of the settlement wasn’t released.
