A couple area kitchen fires put JCMO, Holts Summit firefighters to work

A mom and her kids are out of their public housing apartment after a fire. The kitchen fire started in the Elzabeth St. apartment and was quickly put out by firefighters. No one was hurt.

These burgers might have been a little too well done. Holst Summit firefighters had to put out a kitchen fire Monday at the Speedy B’s convenience store. Crews had it out in five minutes and say the damage was minimal.
