A veteran Centralia firefighter who has also served with Columbia-based Missouri Task Force One needs our help, after suffering serious injuries while trying to restore an old church.
We’re told Mr. Kelly lives his life serving others and has spent his life serving people. The GoFundMe says Bret fell from scaffolding at an old church while working to remove ceiling joists. The grandfather of six suffered from brain bleeds, facial fractures, a spine fracture, a kidney laceration and other injuries and remains hospitalized in Columbia.
The GoFundMe notes Mr. Kelly and his wife face a new road now with a great deal of uncertainty. The GoFundMe has raised more than $21,000 and organizers hope to raise about $40,000.
