A woman is recovering after police say her son beat her up and tried to smother her. Daniel Lowe is accused of attacking his mother at a Jefferson City home and not allowing her to leave. Investigators say Lowe had been acting strangely according to a witness and the mother. She had a broken collarbone and other injuries.
