Accused Herman cop killer wants a change of venue

The man accused of killing a Hermann police officer and wounding another wants his trial heard outside of Mid – Missouri. Kenneth Lee Simpson is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of Herman Police Sergeant Mason Griffith March 12^th at a Casey’s in Hermann. Another officer was wounded and was left with serious injuries. He was captured after a 12 – hour manhunt and standoff in Hermann.
