The Missouri Tigers have dropped two spots in the new Associated Press (AP) college football poll, after they fell to Alabama 27-24 on Saturday at sold-out Memorial Stadium in Columbia.
Tide quarterback Ty Simpson had a big game, going 23 of 31 for 200 yards and three touchdowns. Mizzou quarterback Beau Pribula was 16 of 28 for 167 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw two interceptions. Pribula led the team in rushing with 61 yards and had a touchdown run.
Mizzou is now #16 in the new AP poll released Sunday, down from #14. Alabama moves from #8 to #6 in the new poll. Mizzou is 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the Southeastern Conference. The Tigers return to action Saturday evening when face Auburn at Jordan-Hare. It will be Mizzou’s first road game of the season.
