A Republican Mid – Missouri State Rep votes against his colleagues on the plan to do away with the income tax. Rudy Veit of Wardsville says the measure isn’t a tax cut, adding it will ultimately cost Missourians more not less.
Under the proposed amendment the state income tax would eventually be phased out but would be replaced by higher sales taxes. The House passed the legislation, sending it onto the Senate.
