Commissioners in one county dispute Auditor’s claims

Cooper County Commissioners are pushing back against a bad audit grade. The State Auditor rated the county’s financial management as ‘poor.’ The audit flagged problems with credit card payments and issues with planning for capital improvement projects which led to funding problems. ‘Poor’ is the worst rating the Auditor’s office gives.
