Cooper County gets a failing grade

Cooper County gets a failing grade. State Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick’s staffers gave the county a ‘poor’ rating. They flagged credit card spending by both the county commission and the Cooper County Sheriff’s office. Auditors say bills were not paid on time dating back 2024.
