The former Ashland police chief could face losing his law officer license over allegedly using a database to look up individuals who weren’t job related. Gabe Edwards resigned after a settlement with the city. Ashland recently settled a $1 – million lawsuit with a former officer in the case. Tom Whitener claimed Edwards fired him after he pointed out the misuse of the system.
