An inmate is facing more prison time after badly beating a guard. Gavin Syring admitted to severely beating corrections officer Kent Riley at the JC-CC prison in 2022. Riley was in a coma for days after the attack. Syring, who’s now at the Potosi prison, is serving 18 – years for armed robbery. He’ll be sentenced in December.
Riley received a $2 – million judgment for his injuries.
