The full Missouri House gavels-in at 2 pm Monday. The 163-member Missouri House has four vacancies, so 159 members will be in Jefferson City Monday.

Governor Mike Kehoe (R) called the special session, saying action is needed to ensure our congressional districts and state Constitution put Missouri values first. Democrats see it differently, saying Republicans are trying to gerrymander districts to defeat veteran U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Kansas City).

The Missouri House Corrections and Public Institutions Committee also plans an unrelated 10 am hearing Monday morning on jail per diem and on Missouri prison transformation. That committee is chaired by veteran State Rep. Don Mayhew (R-Crocker).
