Governor asks for state worker pay raise

Gov. Mike Parson wants the legislature to approve a 3.2% cost of living pay raise for state government employees.

He’s also asking for an additional 1% raise for every two years they’ve worked for government, topping out at 10%. Last year state workers got a 8.7 % hike.

The Governor also wants to see the state increase teacher salaries.

Parson gave his final State of the State Address yesterday.
