A boat driver who led Troopers on a chase across the Lake of the Ozarks last summer dodges jail time. Loren Peters of Kansas City will pay fines and be on probation. Troopers arrested Peters after he ditched the offshore powerboat in Mill Creek Cove and ran off into the woods. Officers say the 44 – foot boat had a top speed of 90 – miles per hour.
