How widespread is CWD in Missouri’s deer herd?

Conservation agents are waiting on results from opening weekend of the deer gun season. And it’s not just the number of deer taken. Hunters in Cole, Callaway, Osage, Boone and about 30 – other counties had mandatory Chronic Wasting Disease testing. The Conservation Department says meat from infected animals should not be eaten.
