Columbia-based MU Health Care is seeing an uptick in Influenza A cases.
They had about ten positive Influenza A cases during the last week in November. MU Health Care spokesman Eric Maze says that number increased to 33 during the week of December 7 and to 65 the week of December 14.
MU Health Care says most common winter illnesses like coughs, colds and the flu can be managed at home with rest and hydration.
MU Health Care offers Quick Care locations at Hy-Vee stores in Columbia and Jefferson City, and MU Health also has an urgent care in south Columbia.
