Jail death trial begins

A former jail officer might end up behind bars herself. Former Cooper County Jail Lt. Robyn Pfeiffer is charged with not providing medical care to an inmate who later died. 33 – year old Brooke Bailey died from diabetes complications in 2024. Pfeiffer’s trial on involuntary manslaughter charges started this week.
