JC Council debates conference center spending plan

Jefferson City antes up about $8 – million in development and design costs for the proposed conference center project. The Capitol Avenue complex is projected to include a 200 – room hotel, a new parking garage and convention spaces. The developer claims the hotel will create almost 400 – jobs.
