JCMO Animal Shelter is about full thanks to abused pets case

By John Marsh

A recent Cole County animal abuse case has the Jefferson City animal shelter about full up. Four people faced charges after deputies raided a mobile home last month and found about two dozen abused dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits and more. Now a fifth suspect has been charged in the case. There may be some grant money available to help the shelter cover the cost of treating the animals.
