The Jefferson City Council moves ahead with a plan to form a task force about local homelessness.
The city is seeing a growing homeless population who have congregated in several areas including downtown and in camps along the Missouri River.
The Council would like to involve community groups in addressing the issue.
The committee will be active until April 2025 but could be extended.
