JCMO councilman throws hat into Clerk ring

There’s another candidate who wants to be Cole County’s next elections official. Jefferson City Councilman Jeff Ahlers says he’ll run on the Republican primary ballot for Cole County Clerk. He’ll take on State Rep. Dave Griffith in that primary. Griffith is in his final term in the House. Clerk Steve Korsmeyer isn’t running for re-election.
