Published reports claim Jefferson City leaders want the owner of the Quality Inn to turn over records of how much lodging tax they collected in July and November 2024 and in May of last year. The suit also asks for the firm’s tax returns for the past two years. City ordinance says half of the 7 – percent lodging tax must be banked and used only for a convention center.
