Jefferson City councilmen put nearly $100,000 in funding for a housing strategy study on the back burner for now. Councilmen were asked to approve a $90,000 contract with a consultant to look at the city’s lack of low – income homes. An earlier study says the city is in a housing crisis, largely due to over 100 – homes lost in the 2019 tornado. The council is backing a 140 – unite workforce housing development on Wildwood Drive.
