A group of Jefferson City hotel operators who don’t think lodging tax dollars should go to fund a new hotel and conference center are appealing their lawsuit. They contend that taxes collected on overnight stays shouldn’t be used for construction of the new center. Lawyers for the Jefferson City Lodging Association claim the move is unconstitutional.
