JCMO man dies when his bicycle is hit by a truck in Columbia

Columbia Police say a bicyclist from Jefferson City was killed in Monday afternoon’s collision with a dump truck near Range Line and the Business Loop. The incident happened at about 2:15 pm. CPD says officers and EMS provided emergency medical care to the 56-year-old bicyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Columbia Police have identified him as Roger Bone. The dump truck driver was not injured. Columbia Police say their investigation continues, and they encourage anyone with information or who witnessed it to call CrimeStoppers at (573) 875-TIPS.
